Wednesday
I worked today since I had some comp meetings I needed to run. Rob and the boys hung out at the hotel (did outdoor Chess and miniature golf) and Rob ran a few errands. Then Rob and I left the boys in the room and went to have dinner at the California Grill at the Contemporary Resort. We got to see the fireworks at 8:00 and sat down for dinner at 8:30 - it was delicious!

Our delicious dinner!
Thursday!
I took today off - we slept in a bit and then left for Disney Springs around 9:45 am. We got donuts from Everglazed and then went to Gideons to get coffee and cookies for later 😊
Friday!
We got up a little after 8:00 and left the room at 9:00 to go to Volcano Bay. Rob booked us a cabana at Volcano Bay! It cost $250 for the day, but came with a lot of nice perks like water, towels, a fruit bowl, and pastries, our personal Tapu station!
It was the warmest day of the trip, but was still somewhere between 67 - 70 degrees, cloudy and windy. So it felt a bit cold to be running around in a wet bathing suit….

Saturday!
We all slept in (until 9:00 am!) and went out to First Watch for breakfast. Then we swung by Publix to get more milk and water and then came back to our room. We played a competitive game of Throw Throw Avocado (which Colin won … AGAIN!) 😊

We had lunch in the room and then headed back out for Universal Studios - the valet parking was full, but we still got in pretty easily, and did attractions in both parks! We ended up leaving around 8:00 and grabbed dinner at Chick-fli-a on the way back.
We were trying to decide whether to do Disney on the next day (which would have been pricey) and Rob found a deal at Discovery Cove! Only $179 per person!

Sunday! Discovery Cove!
We had an awesome time at Discovery Cove! We got there around 9:00 am and started off with breakfast. It was a little chilly and it rained for a minute while we had breakfast. After breakfast, we went to the Aviary to feed the birds. They had the coolest collection of birds, and so many different birds all flew over to us to eat!
After the aviary, we went into the lazy river. It was one of the best lazy rivers - it was very warm (85 degrees) and took us through some beautiful scenery as well as through the aviary! It was also very wide and deep in a lot of parts.
After that, we went over to the reef to go snorkeling - Clark opted to stay in the shallow area because of the sting rays 😜 but the rest of us went snorkeling and it was amazing! They had HUGE rays and so many different kinds of fish.
After snorkeling, we had a 12:00 reservation to interact with dolphins! That was also really fun and interesting. We realized that all of us had kissed more sea animals than different people 😜 (3 dolphins and 2 rays 😊)
One of Rob’s favorite parts of the day was hearing Colin singing “hot” songs to keep warm in the morning (i.e. Fireball, Great Balls of Fire, etc) 😜 Colin’s favorite part was the free Lays chips and warm soft pretzels (he really liked the aviary too 😊)
We did the aviary and lazy river again to finish out the day (we got to see Otters and Marmosets getting fed as we swam around!) We left when the park closed at 5:00. It was a super fun day!
We ended the night at our hotel by cleaning up, packing up, and playing Mario Party. Clark won as Yoshi!

Monday
We woke up at 6:00 am and were out the door by 6:45 am. Rob dropped us off at the airport and then took in the rental car and picked up a new one to drive one way back home (our hero!) The boys and I took an 8:30 am flight home on Frontier. It was a work day for me, but was the last day of vacation for the boys. We were all sad that our vacation was over - we had a great time!
