Today we took a day trip to Montserrat Mountain! First we got walked around this morning and passed by a place that had yummy donuts so went went in to get a donut then we walked around a little more. Then left for our day trip at 2pm. The mountain was about an hour from Barcelona. The bus took us up to this little village and it was so pretty. We hiked up to a viewpoint that had a cross, the hike was all uphill and was a bit tough but well worth it! The view had a lookout of the mountains, the cities down below, and even the rest of Montserrat Mountain! Before the hike we went into the Basilica, which was big and pretty. There was a little food market that was there and the people selling it make their own stuff. Mainly cheeses and a few other food items. As we walked by almost every place gave us samples of cheese :) and we bought glazed almonds (so good) then we got to take the rack railway down to the bus! Once we got back to Barcelona we went to a bar restaurant for dinner and it was the first place we ate with TV’s in it. A rugby game was on and I think we were the only ones in the whole place not watching the tv. They really got into it! We have been craving chips and salsa so bad and nobody still doesn’t know what that is... salsa doesn’t seem to be a thing so we ordered the nachos with the cheese and guac on the side but if you look at the picture below they literally just put shredded cheese on a bowl haha After dinner, on our walk back we passed a candy store so had to stop for chocolate covered nuts (my favorite!!)
