This was our first full day in Florence. Majority of people here know how to speak English so it’s soooo much easier to communicate compared to Spain. We walked around to shops and you are suppose to bargain like crazy so that’s what we did! There’s also this food market that’s 2 levels that we went to and it has all different kinds of food vendors, so I got lunch there and then got a cannoli for dessert (may be one of the best things I’ve ever tasted) they are well known for them here and she made it in front of us so it was nice and fresh 😋 also a lot of the vendors let us try samples so it was cool tasting all the different kinds of cheeses, meats, breads etc. then we started walking again and it started to rain so we came back just for a little bit then went back out and walked around more and then went to the market to pick up crackers and cheese and wine. I literally bought my whole wine bottle for 1.90 euros... that’s crazy! And then we came back to our hostel and ate our crackers and cheese with our wine while playing cards! They also provide dinner here so we had that stuff as well! We had the whole room to ourselves last night but now all 6 beds are full. One girl is from Florida and 2 other girls that are sisters are from Brazil. There’s a girls name on the last bed but we haven’t seen her yet. Then while we were in the kitchen area we hung out with 3 other girls that we met. One is from Canada and she started traveling after she graduated last may and is traveling until this coming may. And the other 2 girls are from Australia and they just graduated high school (it’s their summer break right now, so weird) it was fun hanging out with them because we were comparing all the differences between our countries that we are from! Also Lindsay and I realized that it’s nice being able to communicate with other people because people in Spain didn’t really know English so we pretty much didn’t have a full on conversation while we were in Spain haha also the picture of the statue is of the famous David that was made by Michelangelo (as you can see he is nude haha but very famous here)
