Out with the old (right), in with the new (left)
Should have started this several days ago, at the beginning of our journey.
First gas stop on our way out East. \240Last time we came through here, the AC stopped working when it was 109 degrees. This time ‘round, the new rig is holding up.
The fact that we are about 2’ over the 35’ (total length) for Independce Pass, made for a very harrowing drive up the pass!
Remarkably, we made the drive to Woodland Park! \240The campground is beautiful, with pine trees all around. \240We went for a nice casual ride down to the lake.
On the way to some good BBQ at Randy’s… we made a slight detour to The North Pole.
After dinner, we had just enough time to check out Gatden of the Gods.
THAT was a looong drive. \240The torrential rain storm certainly didn’t make it any quicker. \240However, our campsite at Wilson Lake makes it all worth it.
Stopping in St Louis for a one-nighter, on the way to TN. The Arch is much more impressive in person!
Just outside Music City in the beautiful Poole Knobs State Campground. \240We were able to get some riding in a nearby park.
What a great place to stay at Laurel Banks. \240Although, I don’t think I’ve ever seen this much rain in the “summer”. \240The ride off the Blue Ridge Parkway was literally like going through the Amazon!
After several days on the lake, we’re back at KPR for the night.
Cat with a bat: Dr Seus
Finished orientation with Aiden today. Welcome to the Wolfpack!
On the way to Greensboro from the Beach, This jackass rear-ended the new Defender in a stolen car.
The dude took off after hitting us. \240Fortunately he hit the tow hitch squarely. So, the only damage to my car was a little added blue paint. I can’t say the same for the car he stole.
Camping with the Bartlett Clan.
Took a trip down the Virginia Creeper Trail.
I guess this explains why the water is so warm on Lake Robinson.
2nd day in…
