An alpaca herd grazes at Saqsaywaman.
A sight to behold
Overlooking the city of Cusco, the Incan fortress of Saqsaywaman is indescribable. Massive stones lay on top of each other with freakish precision.
We overheard a guide (we're too cheap to pay for our own) say that he believed the stones, some waying several hundred tons, were dragged by the Incas from a quarry 25 kilometers outside the site.
The Spaniards destroyed a decent portion of the site. What is left is a testament to the incredible craftsmanship of the Inca.
They were master architects. They spared no detail.
