Just a few feet from our campsite, Perdido Bay complements the warm air with just a whisper of water lapping at the shore. \240Giant oaks, seagrass, and ferns are everywhere. \240I took this photo of the dog and his humans because it expressed my feeling of relaxation. \240Sharing it with them, they provided their phone number so that they had a copy as well. \240
So, it was \240"throw-away" day. \240We have them - days where someone isn't feeling well, or the weather is crappy, or plans just don't pan out. \240 Those are days where you read, or watch movies, or look at the map conjuring up adventure in your mind. \240I took this photo because I liked the colors, and that the swings were old, but mostly because I haven't seen one kid in this area for days. \240I sent it to Erin, who responded that the swings look "90- pound senior-worthy". 🙃
The sand here is white, super fine, and covered with small broken shells.
The Perdido Keys is a long wide shore, but not very deep. \240Finally(!) we see real crashing waves.
Sandy and grassy berms separate the road and the shoreline.
I didn't realize my feet got so dirty walking in the sand, but they felt nice in the gulf shore waters, which is warmer than I expected.
