Last bit of packing and getting ready. We leave tomorrow morning. Headed to Sun Valley to see Gracie, Curtis and Mattie before heading on to Alabama.

First leg completed. 350 miles. Uneventful which is good when you’re pulling a trailer!
Day two in Sun Valley. Getting our baby time in before we leave on Sunday.
Drove from Ogden to Moab today. Big climb out of Salt Lake then beautiful mountains on the plateau.

Side by side adventure this evening. Climbed some big sandstone rocks and dropped over some crazy “cliffs”. Dinosaur footprints in the sandstone. \240Very cool time.
Visited Canyonlands National Park outside Moab. Beautiful scenery and great cliff side hike.
Drove from Moab today to Gunnison Colorado. We saw rain for the first time in Gunnison. The drive out of Moab was beautiful.

Stopped for lunch on the Riverwalk in Pueblo, Colorado
Stopped at a fruit stand for fresh cantaloupe. The owner told us it’s tarantula mating season and we could see them crossing the road around the corner. \240We drove about 10 miles and didn’t see any. Tonight I’m checking under the covers before crawling in.
Ok. Kansas is flat with lots of corn. We drove 6 hours today and didn’t turn the steering wheel. Tomorrow the same until we get to Arkansas.
Staying at an old dairy farm with 6 RV spots. The guy next to us was born at Sacred Heart in Spokane a few years before me. \240And he’s a retired contractor. Small world.
Started in Kansas this morning. Hit three states today; Kansas, Missouri, and Arkansas.
Joplin Missouri. In 2011 the 7th deadliest tornado tore through the city. We visited the memorial today.
Drove from Bella Vista through the Ozarks to Branson, Missouri today. 82 miles took us 4 hours!
Went to Dave and Jenny Marrs store in Centerton this morning. Toured Bentonville too. Know as the bike riding capital. Bike trails everywhere.

Checked out some antique shops in Cadiz, Kentucky. Small town of a few thousand gets 50,000 visitors for their Ham Festival in a couple weeks.

Left Jake and Monique’s this morning. Hard to say goodbye. From Alabama we drove through Mississippi to Memphis Tennessee.

Left Memphis today. Went to Graceland on our way out of town. Ended our day at a Harvest Host 120 acre farm in Atkins Arkansas. The owner collects John Deere toys.

Over 6000 miles traveled. We drove from Jackson Wyoming to Sun Valley today. Met our good friends Tim and Cheryl in Idaho Falls for lunch.
