While fishing on Lake Winnebago w Pat one time- John said there was a cheese shop and winery that we should check out. So that brings us to today!

First stop- LaClare Creamery - known for goat cheese and raising goats.

When I ask about yours I am told they are self guided and she makes it sound VERY alluring….

We’ve seen 4 sets of retired age people- don’t they know it’s Sunday and they can come here during the week ?

Ledgeview Nature Center - near Chilton

Wanted to see the caves here- but those are only scheduled and guided tours. We were able to do the Tower walk and hiked up 95 steps to the top.

Also saw a red tailed hawk in a large enclosure.

Nice grounds. Off to the next place!

Lunch- we are one of two sets of patrons at 2 pm…food was excellent though.

Chilton really is a small town and SUPER quiet on this Sunday Funday

Looked up a brewery and this is where it directed us- a bar basically. Beer was fine- bar was super old school with some unique old items. Quick stop though- need to get back outside!

Our unabridged notes…we had high hopes, but alas, just another WI winery.

The other turn off- besides their wine- no complimentary water- and they charge 3% if you use a charge card. Isn’t the famous Ziegler family rich enough??

Monday - the next day…..

Jennifer RETURNED! She loved it so much! NOO- Jen discovers she is missing her credit card - calls the restaurant and they HAVE it!!

Turns out it was the servers fault and she felt awful when I went to pick it up and I asked where she found it- said she got confused when both John and I put cards down..and then when I told her I drove from Tosa- she really felt bad. She gave me a free beer. So although it was a waste of 2 hours- I soaked up one more lake side sunset.
