I spent an amazing day with Bryce’s 3rd grade class today exploring Portland’s Bridges. We had an awesome tour guide, Peter, who used to be a third grade teacher and gave us a wealth of information. We learned tons of facts but Bryce’s and my top 3 were:

1. The led lights on the Tillicum Bridge change color with the temperature of the water in the Williamette.

2. The Morrison Bridge was the first bridge across the river but the current one is the 3rd built.

3. The Williamette River is the longest north flowing river in the United States.

We also took the city bus for the first time and it went great. The weather was perfect and all the kids were really well behaved. It was a great day.
