With no sleep and no mental stability I packed up my four bags to head down under.

One panic attack and mom to the rescue later and I have my bags packed!

One more stop- drop off little man to his grandparents to PAWTY.

Okay maybe he’s not as happy as I am to leave.

Alas, I make it to Vancouver to depart to Auckland.

Was impressed with the extra leg room seat I bought.

Being gluten free also had its perks- I was the first one served their dinner 😅

12.5 short hours later I land in Auckland. Several kind people helped me to find my way through the airport 🤓 Good first impression of kiwis!

Ready for take off for the final flight to see Eric in Queenstown!

It was such a cool view of ocean and mountains as we departed Auckland. Made me emotional and so so excited.

Coastline in Auckland near airport.

I like the shots with the New Zealand air logo on the wing 😅

After Eric picked me up we began our scenic drive from Queenstown to Wanaka.

Being a tourist and stuff at the lookout.

My cute man who hustled to come and get me on no sleep and several weeks of nonstop work. A trooper.

Stopped for lunch in Wanaka at a cute pub alongside the lake. It was raining and I had a boozy coffee which was great!

After eating Eric took me into town to get me sorted with groceries and things to make me feel more at home. Had a nice shower and packed up to head to the skihill to finish the pipe.

It’s go time! Eric’s last chance to finish the half pipe he’s been working on for a straight month.

After several set backs with weather, machines breaking, Eric made this thing from start to finish. I will check in on how many hours it took but he has been working between 12-15 hour days for the last month with 3 days off. Pretty insane to see this level of dedication.

He said I was allowed to drink while he drove. Checks out right??

I enjoyed some local beverages while cheering him on as his co pilot. Cool to see him in action!

Both these drinks were soooo good!

After about 4 hours of riding alongside pipe guy Rick, I headed back to the staff accommodation to sleep off some jet lag. Hoping that the last night of the build will be successful for him as there is a competition happening in it tomorrow. Fingers crossed!!
