Before - no clue what’s coming!
The classrooms
One bonus - massive whiteboards!
All the gear and no idea!
After - all still standing!
Today was day 1 of 2 days teaching in a public Thai school.
Wow.
Where to start. We met at 6.15. Left at 7.15 and began teaching at 8.30 - 11.30. 12.30 - 3.30.
This school doesn’t have any western teachers, so their proficiency is very low. Reflecting on the day it was actually great. No time to worry about A THING! Got in introduced yourself, started your lesson theme and boom time flew. The behaviour got worse as the sets got lower, but again nothing horrible. On mass they’re much louder than anything were used to, but in terms of any bad behaviour, Alex and I have dealt with way worse in England. We survived - they survived and we’re still smiling!
We had a big dinner and some Chang’s after school and are in bed already (8pm!)
Ready to go again tomorrow with a new lesson and slightly older children. Nothing will be as tough as this school moving forward so it’s all great experience.
