While Eric was sleeping I walked down to a nearby coffe shop. Only a 7 minute walk from the in town house and it had a bunch of allergen friendly options! A nice surprise.

Was able to FaceTime my mom and catch up for the first time in several days.

Kept adventuring till I received a little text from Eric that he was up.

We freshened up and headed back to town for a brunch!

Had our first friendly waiter here. Service has appeared a little different so far than Canada. Eric has concluded it’s a matter of tips and wage which is fair lol.

Eric took me to his local watering hole called “water bar” . I ordered an espresso martini and I must have been the first person to order that in New Zealand. A big apology and 20 minutes later I got my drink 😅

We then hopped over to a different bar called trout bar. Had a few more beverages here.

It is hard to describe the landscape here. It’s almost like if Kelowna made a baby with Switzerland and Kananaksis. That’s my appraisal.

Eric made reservations at a nice steakhouse in town for us. At this point we had several beverages and I forgot to capture the footage of the night!

He had a nice ribeye and I had a trio meat convo of venison, lamb, and beef. Cooked it myself over a hot stone- kind of neat.

Then we walked back to water bar and around other late night places. I didn’t realize how much walking Eric had been doing by living here.

Hate to say my legs were sore by the end of it haha.
