It was the boys’ last day of school before fall break. Rob picked them up from the bus stop at 4:00 and then I took Colin to pick up his costume from the tailors. We swung by Bean Traders a little after 5:00 to get coffee and then we hit the road in our gigantic rental car!

However, it was a rough drive. To get around traffic in Raleigh, we went on side roads that took longer than we expected. Then we hit road work that caused heavy traffic. Lastly, there was a bad accident that caused us to be completely stopped for at least an hour 😩. At least the boys slept through most of it

Saturday!

Because Rob stayed up till 1 AM to get us priority boarding, we were group 5 to board the ship and was able to get on before the crowd ! We tried the AquaDuck waterside, but we were all underwhelmed 😜. We grab lunch from the buffet and were able to check into our room by 2 o’clock. I went to the spa tour and won a $75 gift certificate for a spa treatment!

We had dinner at the Animators Palette, and Clark and dad danced with Crush at the end. (Also, Colin crushed 3 full bowls of broccoli 🥦 😳)

Sunday!

We gained an hour overnight, so we felt like we got an early start when we went down for breakfast at The Royal Court (which was table service) by 8:00 am. Clark loved their eggs and Colin loved their pancakes 😊

I had a facial at 9:15 am, and met up with Rob and Colin afterwards (Clark was in the Oceaneers club). We played some games and then got Clark and had lunch. Then we did a Halloween craft and played Port Royal while Clark made his Zombie 🧟‍♂️

After that we played BINGO! We won a backpack with a tumbler cup and a key chain in the raffle! Colin became hooked on Bingo after that first game … like the old man that he is 😊.

We had dinner at the Enchanted Garden and Clark tried my roasted chicken and sweet potato purée (and liked it!)

Monday in Cozumel Mexico !

We grabbed breakfast at 8:00 and headed out at 8:45 am!

Grand Cayman!

Tuesday

We got to sleep in and got breakfast at Royal Court. We met our group at 10:30 and took a taxi ship into Grand Cayman! First stop was the Dolphins encounter. We had a great time and spent way too much on pictures ($240 😳) Then we drove to another boat and took a 30 min boat ride into the ocean to see the Stingrays! It was going fine until we had to feed them … Clark had the squid in his hand and became very popular with the string rays, which caused him to freak out and start screaming. Then the sting rays swarmed other people and they started screaming… it sounded like a horror movie 😂. We took the boat back to the bus, and the bus back to the water taxi, and the water taxi back to the cruise ship 😊 We got cleaned up and tried out the karaoke event, but chickened out when more people joined😜.

It was pirate night and EVERYONE was dressed up except for us 🏴‍☠️😜 we had dinner at Royal Court. We were very tired , but Colin, Rob and went back out at 10:30 to watch the fireworks on the top deck. (Clark was tuckered out, so we tucked him in after dinner).

We got an early start and got breakfast at 6:45 am and then met our group at 7:15 to go to our excursions in Jamaica! Colin and I went horseback riding and Clark and Rob went Zip lining and tubing! Colin’s horse kept trying to bite him 😜 after the trail ride, we took different horses into the ocean and tried to hold on as our horses swam😆

We got back to the ship around 12:30 and grabbed lunch from the buffet. Then we got cleaned up and Rob and Clark got back around 1:30. I did a load of laundry and took the boys to walk around the ship for a bit. It was gorgeous outside - it was just starting to rain and was very warm. Then Clark went to his club and Colin, Rob and I did Disney Trivia in the D Lounge (we got 18 out of 25). Then Colin went back to the room and Rob and I did a Halloween craft (adults only!) and then stayed to do movie trivia!

We had dinner in the Animators Pallet and they did a really cool thing where we drew characters before dinner and they showed our drawings animated at the end! We all loved it! We dropped the kids off in the room to go to sleep and Rob and I went out for a happy hour at the pub 😊Then we went to the deck and watched Cruella on the outside screen. It was fun!

Thursday

Day at sea! We lost an hour, so we really slept in 😊 We got breakfast at the buffet around 9:30 and then Colin and I went to Bingo! Unfortunately, we did not win. But we had fun😊 Clark went to his club.

We all watched the magic show at 2:30 (which was really cool!) Then Colin and I went to Final Bingo! The jackpot was over $8,000, but unfortunately we did not win 😩 But it was fun. Then Colin ran upstairs to get dressed in his Jack Skeleton costume and we got in line to take pictures with Jack and Sally 🥰 we waited a while but it was worth it! Then we went trick-or-treating on the main deck - Rob and I embarrassed our children by dancing on the nearly empty deck 🙄

Clark went to his club after that and Colin, Rob and I went to Marvel Trivia! Colin was one of the finalists but didn’t quite make it to the last round.

Castaway Cay!

We got up and had breakfast around 9:00. Then we left the boat and grabbed a spot on the beach 🏖️!
