Dubai for my Dad’s 60th birthday 8th - 15th February 2019

We stayed in the most beautiful villa on the palm. It was on a private beach and had its own pool. The water was absolutely freezing however we braved the chill and still swam everyday.

This was my fourth visit to Dubai and I’ve never seen it rain or be stormy there so when we did have a storm on the third day it was quite an experience! It started with a dust storm and then the wind and rain started! Luckily it only lasted a day and we made use of it by spending all day indoors at the malls. We went to Dubai Mall and saw the aquarium, waterfall and dinosaur 🦖

Then we went to the Mall of Emirates and had a coffee while we watched people ski and snowboard on the slopes.

Once the weather was better we booked to go up to the 125 floor of the burj Khalifa 😳 it was amazing and it didn’t feel like you were so high up. It’s only when you get back outside on ground level and look up that you realise how tall the building is!
