Started hiking at 6 AM

Hiked up past Vernal Falls on the first leg

Stopped on a log to have a snack and another hiker spotted a black bear approaching. We packed up our snacks and continued hiking

Reached bottom of sub dome and presented permits to park ranger, started ascent of sub dome

Reached the base of the cables and our final ascent at 11 AM (~9 miles)

Made it to the top!

All in all it was an amazing day. The hike was strenuous and the cables were much sketchier than expected. But we all made it back to the valley by 6 PM. Got beer and pizza in Curry Village in Yosemite Valley and drove to the Airbnb in Groveland. \240Went to sleep immediately.

Walked through this meadow to Curry village to pick up pasta and sauce from Curry Village.

Headed back to camp, made pasta, s’mores, played 3 games of monopoly deal and called it a night.

Drove from Yosemite to Sausalito. Went to Kelsey and Joe’s new apt in Sausalito and got dinner at Bar Bocce with Kelsey, Joe, Dylan, Schultz, and Meg

Arrived at fallen leaf campsite in the afternoon and setup shop

Went down to the lake for sunset

Took the drone up for a spin

Made a simple one pot dinner of rice and potatoes which was pretty disappointing

Campsite along stream in Weavertown, CA. I had my own private entrance to the stream from camp and a really nicely situated spot. I ended up sleeping in the hammock and woke up around 3 AM to some incredible stargazing.

Made Tapatio ramen for dinner on the jet boil…not the worst.

Setup simple camp in Crater Lake National Park, slept in the hammock again.

Swung by Crater Lake lookout in the evening before heading back to camp for early bed

Ended up being extremely cold and windy but still nice.

Hit the road to Portland around 8 AM and stopped for lunch and a stroll in Bend, OR. Got to Portland around 5:30 and went out to dinner in NE Portland with Motis, Danielle and Mike. Forgot to take pictures. Got a couple more beers with Mike and called it a night.
