The adventure begins with an overnight flight to London!
Pre flight walk around Dumbarton Oaks was \240filled with surprising blooms and beautiful views. So excited to get the adventure started!
LONDON
The first day of our trip was all about seizing the day and fighting jet lag through activity.
We started the day arriving to London at 7am and then headed to the beautiful hotel to have breakfast. The Haymarket remains the most wonderful hotel — elegant staff, gorgeous rooms, colorful and cozy environment, and yummy food. We enjoyed relaxing in the familiar space and reminiscing our fond memories from family trips here (missing you Doug and boonie!).
What better way to get adjusted to London time than a massage at the Connaught!! \240
We had a fabulous couples “grounding” experience with feet washing, swimming, and cupping massage. Ellbell declared this to be the best massage of her life! Such a fun treat.

DAY 1 AFTERNOON
Afternoon consisted of a trip to the Tate Modern, checking out Peggy Porscean (the instagram famous bakery), dinner at family favorite Cicchetti’s in Piccadilly Circus, and a show (Mrs. Doubtfire). We squeezed the day and it was well worth it!
COPENHAGEN
This was mainly a travel day as we headed to Copenhagen from London! We had a fun breakfast and said goodbye to our favorite hotel. After arriving in Copenhagen we went enjoyed drinks at the hotel and explored into the city for dinner.
COPENHAGEN
Exploration day in Copenhagen was a great success with the help of our local guide Lisa. Lisa took us on a biking food tour of the city which is quite the task with gluten free and vegetarian diners! We had a wonderful time and loved the food. Known for their many Michelin starred restaurants, Copenhagen has a vibrant food scene and we loved getting the local’s tour of the many restaurants. We would have missed so many great spots, as the outside is drastically different than the inside of many restaurants. Many of the gems are hidden in plain sight!
Two favorites were Judie’s and Kanalen.
See here the VERY windy weather that we biked around in.
Following our fabulous food tour we enjoyed the hotel’s pool and sauna and then headed to John Mayer’s Solo concert at the Royal Arena. The danish are the most polite concert guests ever and we enjoyed the (oddly) quiet but very peaceful show. \240It was nice to sit and enjoy the music
