Tonight we finished booking our places to stay. I having been playing with this app to see if it will work for our epic trip. Until then we will be just traveling with our VW bug!

We are truly off on our adventure. We are on the plane in Portland waiting for push back from the gate. It started with Julia getting shaken down like criminal for packing nuts, oranges and snacks. The good news is the hand and finger swipes did not pick up any explosive residue! (only salt residue from the nuts presumably) and We got \240to the gate just in time to board.

We are all settled in for the hop over the pond! It was a rather long night with Only 2 hours of sleep. The plane was lovely, the premium upgrade from coach was worth every cent.

A peek into business class with the bed cubbys. Wistfully!

Arrived in London a little wiped out but no worse for wear. We caught the bus for Cierencester and had a lovely drive out. Our car was delayed so we had a little cat nap and then .....

Nanette just off the bus at Cirencester.

Below is Julia! Same spot.

This morning started off In Cirencester at our Bed and Breakfast. I have renewed my courage for the real driving! We got on the road around 10 am. We reached Bouton on the Water. It’ a quaint little village with limestone houses so known throughout the Cotswolds. All the roofs are old slate tiled and it was adorable. I took way too many photos. It has a River that runs through it and the town is centered around it.
