Saturday thunder storms
A typical morning in Vietnamese schools - they start the day with exercise and the music is LOUDDD

Vietnam’s versions of prosecco! Same colour as cider!!!
We’ve finished our first week being ‘part time’! We are full time next week, but still that means actual teaching time is about 20 hours each. No marking, no meetings, no clubs!
We’ve both got our schedules, so we shall see how they go next week.
Friday night we actually went out with other teachers from the ILA Centre that we’re employed by - that’s where we do our planning etc, kind of like a base. We went for a few drinks and then to kareoke which is really big over here. You hire out a whole room and have it to yourselves for the night. My idea of actual hell but I went along and smiled! I even sang a spice girls song with the girl next to me. We both drank a few too many beers which meant Saturday was some what of a write off. We still managed to get out for a swim and bought me a coconut to get hydrated! We got Asian steamed buns as a takeaway and watched a whole series on Netflix - so not a total waste!
Sunday we had a lie in and got our weeks planning done - took about 3 hours, we’re making progress as it took us muchhhh longer last week to plan just 1 day!
We both have Monday mornings off which is absolutely fantastic! Hopefully the Sunday fear can be a thing of the past for us! We are in the same school Tuesday and Thursday afternoons which is a good balance, and we can go and explore those areas after work. I start earlier than Alex most days, but finish earlier too.
We’re currently by the pool relaxing and we’re going to watch the second series on Netflix later. Living the dream!
