Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

This post might be my most excited of my whole Europe trip... I got to see a live English Premier League football game!

I wanted to see a game while I was here but it’s actually quite difficult to get your hands on a set of tickets if you’re not a registered member with the football clubs here. I lucked out, and Rob, a sales team member in Scotland had a few connections. He ended up getting me tickets to the Tottenham Hotspur against the Huddersfield Terriers. Rob ended up not being able to go to the game with me, but he sent his best friend Graeme to meet me and he was hilarious company.

This was only the second league game the Spurs have played in their brand new stadium - pretty great opportunity!

The stadium looks gorgeous on the outside and is built in a bowl shape so that it feels smaller than the 62,000 people that are there. The fans didn’t dress up in full wacky team gear like I expected, but they are certainly passionate about their team!

🎶 When the Spurs go marching in! 🎶

The game was a bit of a mismatch, the Spurs being the obvious favourite. I didn’t mine that however, it made it easy to cheer for the home team and it was a 4-0 name with some great goals.

What was super cool about this new stadium was the 1) it has the longest beer bar in a stadium in Europe and 2) the stadium has entertainment in different areas even after the game is over. Before heading out to the local pub to celebrate the win, we watched some performers that were keeping the party going.

Only problem with the day is that it was so fun I’m dying to go again. I’m not sure there’s enough time left!
