Schönefeld (bei Berlin), Kienberger Allee, 12529 Schönefeld, Germany

Overnight stay in Berlin near the airport!

Rugged up at the bus stop!

I did 8 take offs and landings in 36 hours - crazy talk! Best sleep of my life though!

There are speed limits … but NO ONE follows them!

I found an Australian family who had only packed boardies!

Reichstag Building

Berlin Day 2!!! Photos from Berlin tour coming (on my camera!)

Nice restaurant we went to - do cute and cozy (and warm!!!)

Inside the dome on top of the Reichstag - open air on the top with masssssssive ramps going up and down!

Same here! This is just on top of the building!!!

Sehr cool! This is where the assembly is - divided based on party, based on percentage of seats earned.

The purple colour is apparently completely unique to the Reichstag - it was designed to be neutral and not representative of any party.

The speakers and heads of party have seats with higher backs and can mute other people’s microphones (lol!).

A French artist did this installment in the Reichstag - a metal box for each elected member of parliament from 1919-1990. They have their elected period and party and any who were killed in the Wars have a black label. There is one black box that represents the 12 years there were no elected members. We found Angela Merkle, Adolf and other boxes - very surreal.

Another little party room where the sub committed meet!

Here are some original writings that were made by drawing with charred wood when the main buildng was burnt down. They are from Russian Sounders who Mostly wrote ‚*** was here‘ or what city they are from. It was originally plastered over but has since been re cultivated.

And lastly ….

The bread section! Absolutely incredible!

NEW YEARS IN BERLIN 🎉🎉🎉🍾🍾🍾🎁🎁🎁🥳🥳🥳🪩🪩🪩

We went to:

- Jewish Museum (most interested in Architecture I’ve ever been!!!!)

- Massive walk around Berlin in my friends Jazz and Julia (from America!) - I think I’ve redisplaced my old broken toe and ripped off the nail so I’ve been limping around but we still did 17km yesterday!

- The greatest travesty was that because it was new years the MASSIVE TK MAXX wasn’t open!!!

- A dinner near the Brandenburg gate!

- We then walked to a lovely open space and watched the fireworks!

This is the beautiful Jazz my Aussie friend (she studies Architecture at Griffith!) in front of the fireworks!

And me!

Right on 00:00!!!!

This is me and Olivia getting ready for new years dinner!

Annnndddd this COMPLETELY RANDOM souvenir I found at the JEWISH MUSEUM 👀👀👀

Again, more photos to come from the camera!
