Awake at 6 am just couldn’t sleep any longer. \240Bags are packed in moms car and we are out the door by 10:00 headed to marks house so he can drive us to the airport.
Priority access sure paid off. \240We were through security, checked in and sitting in the priority waiting area within 20 minutes of the bus dropping us off! \240They opened the gang plank at 10:45 so only 20 minutes to wait on that and we were in the second group to load in. \240The gang plank was a tough one though. \240It had metal pieces between each step in theory to give you better traction but it kinda threw off your steps and the angle was so steep! A quick stop by our muster stations c3 and we were free to roam so we started grabbing a table in the buffet to have a space to call ours until cabins are ready. \240We located the ice cream station, verified they serve Coke not Pepsi, and picked up a slice of pizza to sample before Kevin took the kids to get registered for splash academy - all while fighting to get the ncl app downloaded onto everyone’s phones so we can chat. \240Thankfully another passenger saw us struggling and allowed us to use his hotspot long enough for us to get the app on all the devices we needed it was a godsend because it all went much smoother after that. \240When we just couldn’t hold them any longer Kevin again agreed to take the kiddos out to explore the boat, I stayed behind figuring if they know the boat what’s the point in me learning it lol!
Once they announced our cabin was ready at 2:20 off we went to wait for luggage. \240The wait was too exciting for my cabin they all fell asleep on me while I unpacked. \240I met our cabin steward Jason. Boy were they cranky when we woke them up! \240
We took a short walk to show me what they had found. \240Then Kenzie announced she was hungry so we decided on the local bar & grill so she could get pretzel bites. \240
Today we didn’t get a very early start in fact breakfast came at 9:30 & got us out of bed. So it was breakfast in bed. Then we got ready while watching us drive into the fijord. Watching the snow covered mountains on either side of the fijord was beautiful. \240The weather was around 61 degrees but the wind made it crisp for sure!
Once we docked at a little past 1 we proceeded into akureyri. \240What we founs was a decent walk into a town that we didn’t know where to go and couldn’t read any of the store signs - this made me very uncomfortable. \240Kevin got a map and we at least had a direction we needed to head towards. \240The first place we came to that we recognized was a bakery. \240We went in with 2 goals in mind 1 for treats & 2 to try to get some Icelandic Kona. \240We bought a chocolate croissant for Kenzie a chocolate doughnut for mj and some cinnamon pastry for mom & me to share and they were able to take American money and gave us change in Kona. \240A win win situation for us! Next to the bakery was a souvenir store - I was in heaven! \240They were also where we learned what the exchange rate was 1000 Kona = approximately $7.00 now we had some math we could work with! \240As we were shopping from behind we hear “aunt Toni???” We turn around and there is Brooklyn duhadway with Robert & Danielle they are on the same cruise we are on! Jsust a wild crazy small world we live in! \240We found some really unique gifts in the gift shop like some dish cloths we got for the Sunday night crew and my girls at work as well as some of the things I tried to buy at the airport that I wasn’t able to. \240Once the kids got tired of shopping with us they went outside to the mini playground and slide that was across the street. \240Kevin needed a snack so he got himself a pizza dog which he said was good but had too many onions on it. \240We took a few more pictures and went into a couple more stores before we decided it was time to head back to the boat we had done all the damage we needed to.
Once back on the boat we got some ice cream then mj went to play putt putt. \240We went back to the room to relax and get ready for dinner & pictures. \240We dressed for pictures tonight and off we went before Kevin & my reservation at cagneys. \240We had a wonderful dinner and the Au gratin potatoes I had was delicious. \240For dessert it was a raspberry crème brûlée. \240Our dinner was great mom & dad & the kids went to local bar & grill and hated it except for the cheesecake she loves that. \240But mj told her the wings were boneless which they aren’t.
We met up after dinner and did some more photos at different backgrounds than we did before dinner. \240Then the kids went to play putt putt & Kevin headed to the cigar bar. \240When the kids got back I am Ivan had just started and since Kevin wasn’t back yet I said they would watch it until he got home…they watched the whole thing and loved every moment of i. \240Than off to bed
Breakfast in the room again, I had the French toast which was pretty good. \240Then the kids & I & grandma went to the improv lounge for diamond painting at 10:15. \240By 11:30 we were ready to disembark the boat.
We arrived early to our excursion to Santa’s house so we grabbed a drink I had a tea latte which was the closest thing to a brewed sweet tea I got and it had cream I. It still drinkable though. \240Kevin also found the hat he was looking for the day before and mj found a tshirt.
Loaded on the bus at 12:08 headed for Santa’s house. Our tour guide name is Karen. \240First stop the botanical gardens. \240Lots of pretty plants to look at not a lot of flat ground to walk on so it was a bit of a hike. \240Took lots of pictures to check in my plant identification app when we get home.
Next we went to an author house they called nonne and at the same stop was a church and a museum. \240The museum has 3 exhibits one on map making, music and historical akureyri. \240Finally our last stop was Santa’s house. \240We were expecting telling the Icelandic tradition of Santa or something instead we got 2 shops 1 with candy & some Christmas decorations and 1 with local jams & jelly & home goods. \240We were not impressed….dad said in Missouri we call that a tourist trap. \240But I said if it was it would have had more Icelandic stuff like ornaments and stuff that it didn’t have. They did have a small place that you could get treats, both kids had waffle on a stick she had chocolate and he had sprinkles on his. \240I waited in the line but it didn’t move very fast so I gave up.
Ack-u-airy
They made another itinerary change so we had to get a different shore excursion instead of garinger we are going to flam in Norway. \240In flam we were able to get a Viking town tour so I’m sure mj will love it.
Dinner at Hudson’s we were all able to eat together. I had the poached pear with gargonzola crumble cue cucumber wrapped mixed greens, chicken Marsala over red peoper risotto, Kevin had the salmon, mj tried the cheese ravioli he didn’t like them and then had a steak, Kenzie had cheese pizza. \240With the exception of the ravioli it was all good. \240For dessert Kenz had neopoliton ice cream scoops I had lava cake and Kevin had the s’mores brownie. \240The Hudson’s dining room was beautiful.
After dinner we watched a little finding Nemo and watched the fijord of Iceland pass by. \240The end of the fijord is a dramatic drop off we took pictures. We also took professional pictures cause we need more lol. \240Got our charms to complete our bracelets then headed to the magic show of Daniel Ka. It was a decent show nothing super fancy. \240But mj really couldn’t figure out his last trick where he made his assistant disappear and reappear in the middle of the audience.
Mj was tired so he went to grandmas room to sleep. \240I went to the room and got ready for bed and Kenzie went to late night splash academy from 11-1am. \240Kevin stayed up and waited for her I went to sleep.
Last night Kenzie wanted to go to splash academy this morning she did not she wanted to sleep. \240Even after breakfast arrived she stayed sleeping. \240I had French toast and Kevin had an American breakfast. Both were ok today we do want to try something different one of these mornings.
It was definitely a slow start this morning but there wasn’t anything we really wanted to do so we lazed around. \240About noon Kevin took mj to get his 24 hour pass for the vr games we don’t figure we will see home all day! \240We tried to watch out the window but it’s so foggy you can’t even see the water! \240Once Kenzie go going she went for ice cream with grandma then came back and finished finding Nemo & started puss and boots. \240Kevin headed to the casino, lost $40 and tried to get into indulge but it was too busy so we met him in the local bar & grill. \240Got Kenzie in the virtual queue for splash academy this afternoon and enjoyed a late lunch together.
After lunch we went to check on mj in the arcade, gave me a headache so I asked mom who wasn’t doing anything to meet me at guest services to make sure she had the right reservations for tonight. \240We had it all correct so we found a couple seats at the Penrose bar and sat there and had drinks for a couple hours. \240We decided tonight would be our black attire since we have dinner in Hudson’s and then the Donna summers show afterwards.
Dinner was good. \240Appetizers I had white cheddar potato crumpets and potstickers which were amazing Kevin had a ceasar salad how boring. \240I had the chicken cordon blue Kevin had the shrimp Alfredo. \240Dessert I had a cannoli it was just ok very hard to eat with the provided spoon.
We dropped Kenz off at splash academy after dinner and told mj what time he had to check himself in by and off we went to the Donna summers show which was very good all 3 girls that played Donna were good but the one that played the youngest one had an amazing voice.
Mj texted in the middle of the show that they weren’t playing Mario kart so he didn’t want to stay but we told him he had to wait until we were out of the show. \240By the time we got out and to splash academy they were both having a good time and wanted to stay.Kevin again played the hero and stayed up to get them out. \240Tonight was Kenzies night to stay in grandmas room.
Breakfast in local bar & grill this morning for a change. Turns out - similar food, but mj was able to get oatmeal for something different. \240We docked at 11 and met in the prima theater for our excursion of alesund.
First stop on our excursion was a view of the fijord with nazi bunkers used in ww2. \240The boys went up to look at the bunkers the girls hung out closer to the bus and visited the bakery for treats.
Second stop after a tour of town and the art nouveau architecture was the ship & boat museum where they also have a bunch of old houses they have brought in to preserve their history. \240Pawpaw went on the walking tour of the old houses the rest of us toured on our own and stuck more to the boat history because it started to rain 20 minutes into our visit.
I thought this tour was Better than the one in Iceland I think it showed us more of the town. \240Ice we got back Kevin checked the kids on board and came back out so we can do some souvenir shopping. \240We didn’t walk far just hit 3 that were in a 2 block radius. \240After we saw a fish & chips roadside cafe that Kevin wanted to try, I got a milkshake while he had his snack. \240The milkshake was different it was just ice cream and vanilla syrup. \240Not bad just different. \240Kevin’s fish & chips was billed as the worlds best he said it was really good but not the worlds best for sure. \240The worst part was all the pigeons & seagulls swarming the area waiting for food to be left they would get on the table and everything.
Back on board I showed mom what I bought then off to get ice cream and French fries for Kenzies dinner @ seaside grill. \240I was so tired I went back to the room & laid down. \240The plan for the evening is mom & dad dinner @ cagneys at 6, kids to the prima theatre at 7:30 for coco movie, Kevin & Liana dinner at commodore room at 8:30. \240We went to dinner early at 7:30 in the chance they could get us in since it was just the 2 of us instead of 4.
For dinner Kevin had the fried chicken and a ceasar salad with Black Forest cake for dessert I had the mozzarella & plum tomatoes which was heavenly with the beef short rib ragu which was different but good then the crème caramel for dessert. \240After dinner Kevin went to the cigar bar and I went back to the room in hopes of straightening up a bit but the kids came in shortly after saying they couldn’t get their pictures taken without an adult so I took them back to get their pictures taken then off to ice cream before they shut it off for the night.
Early morning today breakfast showed up at 8:15 and was really good this morning. \240Got ready & made our way down to the prima theatre by 9:45 for our 10:00 excursion to the Viking village.
Onboard our excursion we learned that 1 % of all roadways are in tunnels some go under the fijords up to 300 meters below sea level. \240They also have more airports than London. \240Then Kenzie & I fell sleep for the rest of the hour trip. \240Made it to the big waterfall it was beautiful took some pictures wanted to use the restroom but it cost to use and I hadn’t brought my Norwegian currency. \240We did learn the exchange rate was divide by 10, learned that while shopping for some souvenirs.!!back on the bus and headed to the Viking village
At Viking village they showed us the blacksmith the textile making the chieftain cabin the Viking boat the shrine to the gods the original football field. \240You could also throw axes and shoot a bow and arrow.
After a little souvenir shopping and a quick stop at the playground- wanted it to be longer but it was crowded which upset her terribly. Back on the boat it was time for a snack from the grille of hamburgers & hotdogs and of course ice cream. \240Then back to the room to enjoy the fijord views and watch some movies before dinner. \240Tonight the kids and grandparents ate at the commodore room which they weren’t impressed with. \240They got back just in time to go to th golf simulator with us before our dinner. \240With the 4 of us playing we made it through a whopping 3 holes 😔. \240We have it again on our day at sea we may let Kevin go alone to enjoy it more that time!
Our dinner was at onda tonight. \240They didn’t have the moscato wine, the focaccia bread was delicious the other bread and Stromboli were just ok. \240Kevin got a margarita pizza as an appetizer which he said was really good. \240Then he had the spaghetti and I had the paperdilla ragu which was good. \240We asked them to wrap up the pizza and they wouldn’t do that. For dessert I had the tiaramisu which I enjoyed Kevin had the butterscotch buding that was too sweet for him. \240
I stopped by the photo studio on my way back to the room. \240They offered me a package for all of the gangway photos in digital for $75 then any of the boat pictures I want over the 24 will be $10 not including dinner pics I said that’s fine we have had our 2 dinings and haven’t had anyone offer to take our pictures. She apologized and said they can’t interrupt the main entrees anymore. Guess that’s part of their new freestyle plan I don’t know.
Early start today with breakfast in Hudson’s at 7:30. The. Off to the prima theatre for our excursion we are going to Mt Florian. \240We drove around the city seeing various areas of town. \240There was the symphony building, the ship yards the university & the traditional architecture and colorful houses. \240We got to Mr Floian and rode up the fanicular to the view of the city it was beautiful. \240You could see so far. \240There was also a playground that Kenzie enjoyed until daddy came over and said there was a goat. \240Back down the fanicular and we set off on the walking portion of our tour. \240We saw the wooden warehouses where they had shops in the first level, stored goods on the second and lived on the top level. \240That worked ok until there was a fire then they started using stone that they found from ruins but not from the earth because it’s all granite.
Then we walked down to the fish market it was a pretty hood trek. \240By this point there wasn’t a lot left on the tour so we decided to hop off and go on our own except for Kenzie who went back with grandma on the tour bus. \240The rest of us went into the market to get some snacks at the seaside cafe. \240Kevin got crab legs mj got fish on a stick and I got shrimp on a stick. \240It was kinda pricy but we decided we would only eat at the fish market in Norway once in our lives. \240
Mj didn’t like his fish but the rest of us enjoyed our snack. \240We picked up a couple more snacks a doughnut and a danish tgat I brought back to the boat but apparently I shouldn’t have because they made another girl throw hers out you aren’t supposed to bring bread on board…so I hid it for mom & I to enjoy later. \240A little shopping then back to the boat. \240Our tour guide said it was a 10 min walk I swear it took me at least 25 minutes from where we were not counting stops to shop.
By the time we got back to the room there was time for a little nap and to change clothes before dinner. \240Mom & dad had reservations at cagneys again and the rest of us were at Hudson’s at 5:30. \240I wasn’t really impressed with tonight’s menu but we found something to hold us over. \240As soon as dinner was over we headed to the theater for the price is right live. \240We didn’t make it on stage but it was fun to watch for the evening entertainment.
After the show it was time for pictures then Kevin went to the casino where he won over $500 and came back to the room with $400 of it. \240We went for ice cream then back to the room to watch legally blonde.
Kevin & mj got up about 9:30 so mj could get his gaming pass and so Kevin could get to the golf simulator by 10. I slept in until they started announcing floors to report to uk immigration. \240We panicked a little because we hadn’t gotten a letter telling us when we were supposed to report all was good we weren’t scheduled until 1:30-2. \240So I got up and moving and we enjoyed our illegal danish then met Kevin in the sea life to have lunch as soon as they switch over.
After lunch we went to guest services to check on our airport transfer apparently something else we were supposed to have gotten in our stateroom that we didn’t. \240This time mom & dad hadn’t gotten it either but we do have that already. \240Next we went by the photo department and bought the digital imaging from all the gangway and port photography and they showed us how to download all of them. \240We had a few problems with the app crashing so they showed us an alternative way to get them downloaded through safari with no crashing.
Then we went to have some drinks we tried the whiskey bar but they didn’t have milk for my kahlua and milk so we ended up back at the Penrose on 6 until it was time to pick Kenzie up from splash academy then off to the metropolitan for mandala coloring. \240Next off to get ready for dinner at Hudson’s. After dinner it was time for pictures, we sound there were some we weren’t as happy with so we redid some of the poses. \240
Back to the room to change clothes and get the kids off to splash academy for Kenzie and mj back to galaxy edge arcade. They both want to go to the overnight session from 11-1 tonight it’s supposed to be a Mario kart tournament but at 8 it was just the 2 of them signed up. \240I’m ok with them not since we have to get up so early for our Amsterdam excursion but what do I know I’m just the mommy. \240Kevin went off to the casino and I found a movie to entertain me while I packed up dirty clothes.
Extra early this morning, breakfast came at 7:40 excursion starts at 8:45 today grandma & grandpa aren’t going on this one with us. Today we exit off deck 6 at the back of the boat which is different from our usual exit off deck 4.
Big boat on way out of town used for Ukrainian refugees
Replicate village we tried to go inside one of the windmills but it cost and their cc system wasn’t working right and all of our cards were refused. There were several shops you could go into but after our cards were declined we were afraid to try again so I used the Amex for my few purchases. \240Kinda out a damper on the rest of the village not knowing if it was our card or their system.
Pyramid houses large farmhouses that farmers lived below and stored hey in roof for insulation.
Next we went to the town of Edam which used to be the capital but Amsterdam grew bigger and took over the nautical trade. We walked into town and from there was able to go to the chocolate shop & cheese shop & a small souvenir shop. \240Just outside of town we visited a farm where they showed us how they make cheese and wooden shoes. \240We were able to try the cheeses and picked out some of our favorites.
Finally we went back to Amsterdam and back to the boat area. \240There were a couple vendors set up outside of the boarding area and we met mom & dad did a little more shopping then back on the boat. Which of course meant we were hungry so we went to local bar for a snack then to seaside for ice cream. \240Into the room we had forgotten to have our room made up so we straightened up a little & turned on the light. \240When he was ready for our room we took a walk to the observation deck but no where to sit there so back to seaside to enjoy some hot chocolate until he was done.
Took a little nap before dinner at some point today I knocked a rib out of place on my left side that’s been fun to deal with and I’m not sure how I’m going to survive an 11 hour flight home if I can’t get it back in somehow.
For dinner we were able to get out of our commodore room reservations in exchange for Hudson reservations because mom likes Hudson’s better so for their anniversary we thought she would appreciate it. \240She did. \240Appetizers were ok tonight but my entree was good I had the 3 cheese ziti. \240For dessert they brought out a little cake for us to share that said happy anniversary so that was a nice surprise. \240It was also better than any of the desserts we had ordered.
After dinner we got a few quick pictures we were all getting tired of them lol then Kevin & dad went to the observation deck to watch us go through the lock & dam while Kenzie went to kids club mj went to the room to watch a movie mom & I went to the palomar bar on 6. \240Once we made it through the locks Kevin went to indulge for an after dinner snack so I joined him, mom went to her room & dad went to the casino. \240Indulge was interesting like a big buffet that they bring to \240you. \240We had cornbread steak fries and ravioli that were delicious. \240Once we couldn’t eat anything more I went to the room to take some medicine and Kevin went to the casino.
Late start to an early morning not our fault we were in the theater on time but we were late docking then had a medical debarkation that took precidence. \240Finally we were loaded on the bus and headed to Bruges.
Wow it’s 10:00 pm now and what a day we have had. \240I thought the excitement for the day would be us getting off the boat late this morning but boy was I wrong! \240But I’m jumping ahead let’s go back to Bruges.
We walked for what seemed like a mile to get to the boat mom wanted to quit but I pushed her to get to the boat. \240So we get to the line and other people in the second group would t let mom & Kenzie through so I popped up and demanded they let my child through and then demanded that they let us on the boat with the rest of my family. \240We get in the boat and had a beautiful ride through the canal/river system that goes through the town. Our tour guide on the boat was great he didn’t rely only on the recorded tour he gave his personal narrative. \240After the boat ride the 3 girls decided the tour wasn’t for us and we were going to go on our own we didn’t want to slow down the rest of the group and we made the right decision they walked almost 6 miles today we logged just under 3 just between the bus and the boat and back. \240So the first thing we did was use the restroom without a whole group waiting for us. \240Then we took off on our own adventure. \240Kenzie was hungry so we found the first waffle shop we came to which was OTTOs and we couldn’t have made a better choice. \240The waffle was lacy and fluffy and made from oat flour so it gave it a different flavor but we all loved it. \240Then we sat off to find souvenirs. \240It was definitely a tourist trap there was one store after another and basically all had the same stuff in all of them but it was fun to look anyways. \240When we had about an hour until meeting time we started to head towards the brewery…we thought. \240I’m not sure if we took a wrong street or if we went too far but we weren’t at the brewery. \240So we turned around tried some different ways and asked a couple people for help but it wasn’t until mj popped up next to us that we had any idea where we were which was about 20 feet away from the brewery. \240And after all that we decided we needed another waffle and Kevin had found some for 2 € that he took me to. We got 3 to share around. \240Another mile back to the bus and we were pooped! \240We were thankful for a 20 min bus ride back to the boat.
Get on the boat with time to get some food today so we dropped off our packages and headed to seaside. \240Had a few really good things today the pork loin was super juicy and the fried rice was amazing. \240After ice cream the kids really wanted to go swimming and it was finally warm enough kevin agreed to take them even though thee is a storm coming in sometime. \240So I’m packing in the room kids & Kevin are at the pool and rob, Danielle & Brooklyn had just gotten down to the pool when a gust of wind came up. \240It knocked down the umbrella onto rob & Danielle so they were done with the pool area and an announcement came across “anchor anchor anchor”. What we later learned was that 45 knot wind came up on us and it broke the morings off the dock. \240We were floating fee towards the opposite port thankfully there wasn’t another boat there. \240The lines broke the gang planks fell into the water and there we were. \240There was 2 tug boats that got us started pushing back in the correct direction pretty quickly and a third tug that came in and helped too because the winds were still very strong and blowing us. \240Busses with excursions were pulling up and were just turning around and queuing up at the entrance to the port. \240It was a scary situation and we weren’t even in danger I can’t imagine anyone on the gang plank at the time. \240
I continued to get us packed then we went to dinner at the commodore room then after dinner Kevin took mj to play darts and ride the go karts while Kenzie went back to grandmas room and went to sleep and I went to the photo department to get pictures ordered. \240Then back to finish packing.
Kenzie woke up about 9:30 and came into our room and was back asleep by 10:15 she’s not feeling too good says she’s just tired.
Kenzie had bad dreams last night and ended up in bed with us just to get more sleep.
Went to seaside for breakfast it was crazy busy with only a couple places serving we knew it would be. \240Then off to wait for the debarkation call.
Well Kenz is unofficially sick with a fever. \240She is falling asleep every time she has 5 minutes.
They finally called light blue at 8:25 so into the line we went. \240It went pretty smoothly I thought besides waiting in the line. \240When we got to the baggage claim area our bags were all right there and we were able to be off to the airport transportation in a timely manner. \240It took an hour and 1/2 to get to londone Heathrow airport unfortunately with the exception of a couple od double decker buses we weren’t able to see anything exciting.
Got off the bus and luggage loaded on trolleys got our boarding passes printed with a kiosk no problem we go to check on our luggage and it won’t let us use the self check we have to go stand in the line for full service luggage check. \240Thankfully the teller we got was very friendly and super helpful. \240Both kids had to got potty so she got them done as quickly as possible so they could go while we finished up. \240She also gave them both kids club kits.
On to security. \240We were able to scan and get in with no problem mom & dad weren’t so lucky you’ll have to check her notes for what happened there. \240We scanned our passes pulled out what we needed to and moved on through no issues. \240Then we waited and waited and waited no mom & dad. \240Kevin took a couple walks down the line and at first didn’t see them then finally found them but they were still on the other side. \240Next thing I knew dad was coming but no mom her purse and my Cinderella bag got flagged. \240Her purse she forgot to take out her iPad so that had to be scanned and purse had to be swabbed all clear. \240Then the Cinderella bag which took forever to pack so it was all secure and safe and everything was individually wrapped. \240It was the snow globes that set it off so we had to dig through the bag to find them then we couldn’t put stuff back in because it had to be swabbed and it was 12:05 we had at least a 15 min trip to the gate we were supposed to start boarding at 12:20 and the bag is a disaster and I just got overwhelmed with stress and my face drooped. \240Mom sent me away to try to calm down. The lady told mom she knew it wasn’t her bag and isn’t supposed to release a bag not to it’s owner but she would let it go. \240As mom was repacking she explained my situation to the lady which made her feel even worse. \240I knew she was just doing her job but thought she should be doing it a little faster.
We took the elevator to the escalator to the train to the escalator to the gate and made it just as they were boarding priority. \240We get over and they are calling boarding classes see that we have kids and send us through the priority even though they aren’t 5 & under.
On the plane and in our seats Kenzie is still sleeping most of the time. \240The first snack comes through it was sour cream & chive baked pretzels, then came the meals I had the vegetables pasta mj tried the chicken & rice & wasn’t a fan mine was edible. \240Next they came. By with tea or coffee then strawberry ice cream now they gave out meat pastry and juice it was not so yummy.
Well if I haven’t said it yet I’ll say it again Philadelphia sucks! \240We get off the plane into the customs line go through the automated system then do our fave to face interviews. \240Then we have to collect all of our checked baggage take it over to transfer gate then get in line to get our boarding passes then walk up to the main terminal and go through security like we hadn’t already done it once today. \240Seemed bad enough then it got worse, there was a jam at that security so we lost Al sense of line we had and had to turn around had to load the elevator or take the stairs walk down the train station up the escalator to stand in the line for security. \240The next thing I know they are pulling us out of that line into another security line and we got through security and took out the damn snow globes this time and moms suitcase still got pulled this time for the lava candle holder but once they saw it it was good to go. \240Off we trekked to gate c20. \240We no more get there and they have changed our gate and departure time to gate a3 and not leaving until 10 pm. \240Thankfully there was a golf cart that took mom mj & Kenzie then came back and picked up dad & I which was a lifesaver! \240Now here we sit waiting to see if we will fly tonight. Oh and they couldn’t give mom & dad seat assignments not sure why but they have to wait for the gate agent. \240Guess they might be flying standby. 🤬 and to top it all off Kenzie still has a fever and all of this delays and changes has put mj into a spiral tizzy he just finally sat down got out his moose and cried for a bit.
