Friends & Family! You guys!!
We are so excited to share with you what our little crew has been up to! Our adventures here in P-town have taught us so much about ourselves, what is most important, and how to dream bigger than ever before. We have met incredible people who welcomed us into their communities, and you all inspired us to always give our best selves and not fear the greatness of what life has to offer.
So here it goes...we’re taking this show on the road! Chels is going to be a travel nurse which will take us all over the country! We got ourselves a GIANT 5th Wheel (2018 Solitude 377 MBS, for us RV dorks;) and are looking for a GIANT (sexy) truck to pull it with, and will be off to see this beautiful, giant country of ours likely near the end of September. There is so much beauty to see, and we just can’t wait to get out there and experience it.
Derek will be taking lots of deep, fresh-air filled breaths as he homeschools the kids (which we and they are actually stoked about - also, on a completely unrelated note, please send wine;) We are planning on starting in San Diego, which gets us some awesome sunshine, Beach, and Joshua Tree time, as well as playing with Jake and Paige and fam, which we couldn’t be more happy about!
We hope you will follow us on our journey (and encourage us when we feel like we’ve made a crazy move!) Chels will blog about all the happenings - “Inmananigans” (Inman Shenanigans...ya get it? Ya see what I did there?! ...it’s a work in progress...😂😂) if you care for all the deets, and Carter is excited to stretch his pic/video/music editing skillz to share with y’all also.
Thanks in advance for all of your love and support! We wouldn’t be able to do something so awesome without the support of our family and friend family. You are all so special to us, and we count ourselves so, so lucky to have done life with you for the past 5 years. What a beautiful ride.
We will be diving in to all the fun this summer together has to offer, and can’t wait to come back to visit soon (or maybe you can join us on the road somewhere cool!) We will miss you so. ♥️
Cheers, guys - This is gonna be great!
Pick up GG!
Pick up Trailer
◦ Aug 19, 2019
◦ First “lean in” pic pulling the trailer!
◦ Saturday, nobody at store, had to charge batteries
(had no idea how to do that). Lance from RV store taught us how to hook up - once - and then sent us on our way. Felt inexplicably like taking home a newborn baby...like, “you’re REEEALLY going to just let us take this and be responsible for it?!” OK...can’t be THAT hard right? People do it!
Move to Sandy River RV Park
Troutdale RV Spot (Sandy RIver RV Park)
Beautiful, right by the water where Carter loved early morning private fishing trips
Friend Cindy helped so much! So many simple “do we really need that” or “what the heck is this thing for” or “buy this, and get the good one, you won’t be sorry” and so many “You guys have got this!”
First exposure to cranky old folks who really didn’t want our kids or dogs defiling their rule abiding space!
Sept 9, 2018 Send off party (need pics)

Thank you. Thank you for letting me love you. Thank you for your willingness to jump with me. Thank you for forgiving me. Thank you for choosing to love me every day, every moment, even when I’m not very like-able. Thank you for every moment.
Thank you for the father you choose to be. Thank you for caring so deeply.
Thank you for trusting and holding me up.
Thank you for every touch - the light brush of fingers on my waist as you walk by, the strength in the way you hold me in a hug, the way you open your elbow when I walk next to you, welcoming my hand to its spot in your crook - thank you.
Thank you for the way you continue to look into my eyes as if you havent seen enough of my soul yet. For the way you comfort me when I’m sad. For the way you care. For the way you choose to show that you care - thank you.
Thank you for every laugh - the silly ones, the joyous ones, the courtesy ones, the ones from the gut that snort out my nose, the inside joke ones, the ones that just ring out because my cup is so full - thank you.
I know this life is scary. It isn’t secure. It never has been. But you feel pretty damn safe to me. We, as a whole, feel like the safest, most reliable thing in my life. We are the constant. Our dedication to each other and this life’s mission of leaving no opportunity wasted is steadfast. And worthy.
I can’t believe that this was for nothing. I can’t belive that it is meant to end here. At least that doesn’t seem to be the truth at this point.
I love you - thank you for being here with me. Thank you for being my favorite place.
