Today was another exciting day of exploring London but on the other side of the city. We got up and left the dorms at 8:15 this morning to walking into downtown Oxford and catch the bus. We went on the bus which by the way was freezing for about 1.5h. Everyone thought London was going to be warm again today and therefor wore dresses, skirts or shorts yet we were all mistaken. When we got to London it was so cold at first. Luckily the bus dropped us off infront of a cafe and so we all ran in and got a hot drink and snack. I got a cappuccino and honey comb with peanut butter energy bar which was so good. Luckily the city started to heat up and by midday it was so nice out. We walked to our first stop of the day which was the London eye. We got our tickets and all went on as a group. The views were so prettt from up top. We then walked over to the Shakespeare globe exhibition where we were going to see a reinactement of the twelf night. On the way though we stopped at this little place right by the London eye where there were little food trucks and I got a delicious superfood smoothie. At the globe we got “peasant” tickets and were on the floor where you had to stand. Let’s just say the show was over 2 hours and I envied every single person sitting and watching the show. Luckily there was a 15min Intermission so I got my lunch at this point which was a beef pastry. It was basically a puff pastry with Sheppard’s pie filling. It was very tasty. The show was okay, however I was very confused as I have never read the book and was getting thrown off as it was guy prentending to be a girl but was a guy and the girl was actually a guy. By this I mean their characters in the play not just a guy playing a girl. Anyways everyone was getting so lost in the story line and who was who but at least the singing was good. The theatre was outside and since you were standing for so long the girl infront of us fainted midway through the first half which is understandable. After this we now had free time until 8:30. We went off as a big group today. I went with Chiara, Tara, phoebe, Isabella, Natalie, Ella, Morgan and Victoria. We walked down by covet garden again and went into brandy Melville as it started to rain but not to heavy yet. I ended up buying a pair of pants and a London tank top which was super cute. After this we ran through the rain to this Asian restaurant in Soho that Ella had made a reservation for. It was called wagamama and was so cute on the inside. Our waiter our super sweet and the food was to die for. We all had such a blast just talking and munching. Chiara and I split Chili edamame, chicken gyoza and this chicken with lime and terriyaki to start and I had chicken pad Thai as my main. So good. We had 30 minutes by the time we finished which gave us just enough time to walk to westminster abbey for the meet up time however it was freezing and pouring rain so we called an Uber instead. We then got to the meeting place and all walked 20min to catch the 9pm bus back to Oxford. However the bus showed up over 30 minutes late, so we did not get back until after 11 something. So we sprinted from the bus stop back as it was so cold but we got to the door to let us in the dorms and it was locked. They automatically lock at 11pm and you need a student card or a pass to get in which we did not have and it was 11:08. Luckily the teachers weren’t too far behind and had a key to let us in. I quickly ran in and took a quick shower and am now lying in bed ready to go to sleep as tomorrow is a busy day at bath and Stonehenge.
