Should be in Dunkirk for late afternoon.the tunnel travel time is about half an hour and then we will be in the port of Calais
Well we have arrived at the channel tunnel early hoping to catch an early train but no luck. Two hours until the off. So looking forward to getting this adventure started.
We start another day here in Depaane Brussels. Yesterday we traveled from Bognor Regis to Folkestone to catch the Eurotunnel. A straight forward journey stopping for breakfast on the way.
Arriving at the tunnel we passed through customers and relaxed at the departure lounge. Dad still had no idea that kevin was joining us later that day. The train was delayed several times so our departure was delayed from 1150 to 1250 which does not sound a lot but as we arrived at 0930 it was a long time hanging around.
we boarded the train last so it was not long before we where on our way. We where only on the train about half an hour before we arrived in Calais. We then drove north passed Dunkirk where we where going to visit but moved on to pick up kevin from his train in Depanne. As we pulled into the station he had just arrived and was on the platform as we arrived. Dad was over the moon when we pulled up next to him and he got in the car. We then drove to the seafront to find our hotel apartment. After checking in we dumped the car and went for a coffee and cake. Then unloaded the car to our apartment where we then went for dinner. After dinner dad went back to the apartment to get some sleep and we went out for a few beers and to get some shopping in for breakfast the following day.
