Day 1- safely boarding Asiana airline. Mom was concerned that I’m by myself and can’t handle the luggages. But God allow the Lift driver to drop me off right where there’s cart (cost $8) but got me moving safely

God allowed all the check ins within the limit and the carryon a bit over but the person helping us pretty easy.

Got thru TSA quickly and got a decent seat. Was afraid of not being comfortable with my tennis shoes and contemplate brining slipper then God provided the disposable slipper thru the airline.

God definitely knows my needs better than myself. Will continue to look for His provision in big and small thing through this trip

Yesterday was a blur, spending most of it on the plane.

Thank God for safe flight, for no problem with connecting flight and for all my luggage, all the medication are there with no problem from the custom. Went through custom in 5 minutes. All that is a miracle in itself. Thank God for His protection

Got to hotel a bit late and took a bit to fall asleep. Must be getting old.

Today we got to go worship with a small church, reminding me of my childhood church. The message was short but pretty relevant.

Stop by a supermarket, kind of like “Costco” style. Found a scissor for mom, hope she likes it.

I got to switch room to have a twin bed in preparing for my roommate. So the picture below is the nice view from the room before I’m returning it.

Thank God for reminding me to take the passport, visa and money that I locked in the safe. Would be a crazy thing if I forgot about it. And a good reminder to take them out tomorrow when we leave.

Sensing a lot of changes in the schedule ahead and the way people operate will be different from what I’m used to but will pray for flexibility (because like pastor Chuck Smith said “blessed are the flexible, because they will not be broken”)

We got up at 6 AM to go see the sunrise. Unfortunately it was behind the cloud. Jogging along the beach we’re in awe of God’s beautiful creation. Very true that we’re a bit bumped out of the delay to start our mission. But God never waste anything, and He definitely won’t waste time.

We saw people pulling the net in, reminding us of what Jesus commanded His disciples to be fisher of men.

Today’s devotion reminded me that the key is not planning, not knowing everything but it’s the fear of the Lord

“He will be the sure foundation for your times, a rich store of salvation and wisdom and knowledge; the fear of the Lord is the key to this treasure.”

After breakfast, we decided to go to the Marble mountain and try the steps to heaven before the steps to hell. It sadden a lot of us seeing such a beautiful creation has been marred with all these idol worshiping.

The only thing they probably got it right is how narrow and harder the steps to heaven vs. the broad the step to hell. But the easy step to hell quickly turn to slippery and unexpected rocks overhead to could be harmful and hard to avoid. Kind of like how sin entice us, then making it slippery in staying our ground and then unexpected danger all over our journey.

Leaving Đà Nẵng today. We’re saying goodbye to my friend, team member, Holy, whose mom just passed away yesterday. Praying for her and her husband safe travel to go back home

It has been a very interesting day. We took off early to go to Ly Son island. It started with a bunch of us didn’t bring our visa with us thinking the passport is enough, causing a big delay at the port. The island was beautiful and I can sense the friendliness of the people there. We ate a crazy good seafood lunch of 12 dishes and cost about $8. We toured the island and in awe of God’s beautiful creation. Also got some shells for Mikayla.

At the clinic at church we saw a boy that turn deft and mute after a big accident. Kimmy, our audiologist is trying to fit him with a hearing aid.

Praying for a good schedule and a willing/obedient heart/ attitude
