Mount Baker

I was told the trek up and down would be a total of 5 miles, but it felt like 10. We hiked up to an elevation of 5,296 ft. The most I’ve ever done. It was a terrible idea to choose this hike to break in a pair of hiking boots, causing blisters to form on my heels, on top of a joint pain in my big toe. It took us almost four hours to hike up, but damn, it was worth it.

The views were spectacular, the glacier glowed bright as the sunlight made contact with its surface. The pains from this hike are well worth it, and I recommend everyone try this hike.
