6 weeks and 3 days until I take off on my journey. Excited and full of fear, I cannot wait to take on this adventure ahead. My first day will consist of 13 hours on the road to St. Louis, MO. Most likely spending the first 4 hours or so overthinking every little detail of what I packed and if I forgot anything. The reality is, as long as I have money to get gas in my tank to get my from A to B, a sleeping bag and tent to put up for a place to crash at night, and some snacks and water for the road, I am set! Anything else is extra and not necessary for survival. I will be just fine. Here’s to planning the final details on the map, checking the weather to make sure I’ll be safe and getting mentally prepared in the next few weeks to start this trek! This will be a life changing trip I am certain of that. The best is yet to come!
