The journey began about 45 minutes later than planned, obviously my fault. Fortunately I gave myself a couple of days to get to the airport!! \240Which left one of my first leg companions a bit grouchy towards me.

The 3 of us have landed in a very contemporary hotel on Miracle Mile, thanks to the generosity of my dear companion. So for now, as the sun pours in on a cold and blustery day in the windy city, we are settled and off to adventure.

Lovely restaurant up on the 2nd floor. Wonderful Menu and heavenly deserts!! \240Although....because I am respecting the hard work I have put into loose 10% of my body weight 🥴 I just drooled.

Leave it to the girls club to pick up an INeligible man!! \240This brother was our photographer for.....

wait for it.....

The official friends picture!!

After a wonderful brunch we went antiquing. Found Batman and took a stroll down someone elses’s memory lane.

The first portable tv- now - I do remember these- yep I am older than dirt, but.......

I am not quite ancient!.

How to travel with the Corvid-19

Black plastic gloves, , LOTS of homemade hand sanitizer, soap (the hot water was not a carry along item) and a BIG bottle of Lysol - I kill everything, even things you can not pronounce -wipes.

Interesting conversation with a professor in route back to Edinburg, he is a statistician- naturally - I asked if he had put pen to paper to this Corvid nonsense and he said yes. Mentioned he had a friend at the CDC and they are saying it is not an airborn virus , but fecal - need to touch it to get it. So.....happy wipes!!

While eating a salad, Bruce came searching for plugs for his phone. Of course I said “Hi Bruce!”, to which he seemed quite dazed and confused, until I reminded him he was wearing a name tag! Bruce is on a trip with other Pastors to Israel as he was across the table I could not resist a quick prayer and a conversation about the Kingdom. As expected he knew nothing about what the scriptures teach about the Kingdom, his responses demonstrated this. He was nicely responsive and took the Kingdom track even after looking at the JW.org on the back. Cha Ching! One for Jehovah. It is amazing how a I had to overcome my immediate thought of “he is a pastor”, I reminded myself of the members of the Sanhedrin who eventually but their faith in Jesus. This has been the highlight of the day!

Airport international- really quiet- and slow. So glad everyone decided to stay home less chance of germ encounters!!

London

Arrived in the awe inspiring hated and loved airport of the world- Heathrow - if you are changing terminals- you will take a train, bus and get real close to planes on the tarmac. An hour later you have the grand privilege of meeting security again.... \240who ever said you can’t teach and old dog a new trick...has not met me. I can be conditionally taught - if the conditions are right I will be forced to learn. So at a bright 7am here is the lesson learned....

Yep London!! \240So things to remember UK allows only 1 - yes that is right -1 plastic bag with 3 oz bottles. If \240they do not ALL fit in the 1 bag - you loose it at the gate. Yep lost some stuff. Or check the bag....now that is an interesting journey because you need to enter the UK through customs to get to departures to check your bag. \240It is amazing how you can discover additional items that you once believed you could not live without when faced with a customs border and the relinquishing of your bags to the baggage guys! \240By round 2 of security I new some of the folks by name and the manager of the security's employees asked 'what are you doing back here ". Note to self. Managers are not stirred by puppy dog eyes or pouty lips. They are men of character.

I did negotiate the not needing to be able to close the bag. 😉

With a 9 hour layover- I have some goals... place at least 3 tracks. And I have a goal of placing one with a person whose faith is not ‘Christian’. I’ll let you know how it goes!

News for Starbucks - they have nothing on Cafe Nero - best cup of Joe I’ve had a a longgggggg time

London

If you’ve never been to the Heathrow airport - I can attest that Terminal 3 makes the Fashion Mall or Magnificent Mile in Chicago look like a Walmart. Would anyone cate to join me in

A £505 luncheon of Caviar and Salmon with high tea? \240Or perhaps we could do a bit of shopping....

“ What do you think dahhhling? Pick up a trinket or two at Tiffany’s or Cartier. You do know dear that the purse you are carrying could use an upgrade! After all we are here it would be so easy dear to find something new a Burberry or Harrods”

This should be a testimony that I have self control. I did get some great free samples at the natural cosmetics store!!

Well,,,,,, yeah!! \240After 9 long hours. The journey continues

Next stop Lisbon (Lisboa - let’s get in the mood)

There are a few things I love - flying above the clouds is one of them.

A couple of hours out of London and I am crusing above the
