Simon the Sheep starts off his Oregon Eclipse adventure in the cargo net with his buddy, the fox. The fox was discovered at the last Walmart before the Eclipse Festival in Canada in 2014 and was looking forward to another party.
We encountered a torrential downpour setting visibility to nil so we pulled off the road for a bit.
When the rain passed we found ourselves in an extension of little waterfront parks.
There was even a little lighthouse off in the distance.
Unfortunately this little detour was also exposure to medical waste on the shore, although we didn't take any pictures of all the hypodermic needles and debris we came across.
We stop for our first real meal on our trip was brunch at Jack Flaps in Cleveland, Ohio.

At this point in the journey Simon stops to pick up a National Parks pass for an outdoor adventure.

Keep an eye out on the right hand side for a shot at immense lot of motorcycles as we descend down the hill;

Finally we head through a little tunnel back on to the highway where all of us are happy to pick up speed again--including the bikers.
I specifically chose this route home so that Val could see Multnomah Falls. \240There was a major wildfire burning here shortly after we left.
We had a dinner picnic here. There were so many dragonflies. It was a pretty and peaceful place.
