What a day!
Today we went on a hike up a mountain which went down into a cave. Inside the cave was a Buddhist temple. The hike was actually pretty tough! Lots of sweat. Saw some absolutely beautiful views across the sea. Luckily the sun wasn’t out during our hike - I managed to get bitten several times even though I had bug spray on. On the way down we saw a little family of monkeys playing in the trees - amazing!
After the hike we went for a walk along the beach and stumbled (literally) across the biggest jellyfish! And we were planning on going swimming! This beach was crawling with wildlife - crabs everywhere, starfish, fish, jellyfish BLEH! We walked all along the beach round to more caves and scavenged for shells.
Just as we were getting into a boat to head back the heavens split open! It was pretty magical being in a boat when it was pouring with rain. Quite a cold and wet journey home in the songthaew!
Hot showers and 2 hot dinners later we’re getting ready for a busy week with the course.
First week in Hua Hin has been a success!
