Truly, it was a lovely drive. But one disappointment with our travel was the lack of signage alerting us to when we had crossed into a new country. Mckenna and I were both excited to be traveling to a new country, but it was rather anticlimactic as we had no clue when it happened. We kept looking for big welcome signs like you see back home when you cross state lines. Nothing. At some point, we noticed a change in language on the highway signs and realized it had happened.
But a bright spot on the road was the excellent rest stops. They were easy to get to, clean, and super efficient in design. They even had music piped in each stall for your listening pleasure.
We stopped for lunch in our 1st big German City, Saarbrucken. \240It was like most big cities: hot, lots of people, traffic, and shopping. \240
Mckenna was adventurous with our meal once again and tried Thai food for the 1st time. Success - it was delish!
Once we got home and unpacked, although tired, we all reluctantly agreed that “three days eating pastries in France calls for a day in the gym back in Germany.” ~Taylor Swindle
So we hit the gym.
It was hard, but SO worth it! #NoRegrets
