Arrived in Spring Green, WI on September 1st! Wisconsin Riverside Resort was very nice with lots to do at the campground and in the surrounding area. My boss, Mike, has been recommending this place to me for years. He and his wife, Denise, live close by and were gracious hosts throughout the week. Tomorrow we head to southwestern Michigan.

Kids spent the first two days in the lagoon climbing, jumping, and falling while playing on this floating obstacle course. Jason and I both joined in the fun!

Video - trampoline jumping

Video - slippery!

This kid is a social magnet! Found buddies to hangout with all day on this floating playground.

Guess we left all the sand toys at home so she improvised and used my flip flops!

Mini golf

Video - First night at the campground included awesome fireworks we could see from our campsite

Scenic overlook on the highway — it was really overgrown so we couldn’t see much - supposedly you can see the House on the Rock from this overlook

Bugs, snakes, frogs, turtles, bees....this boy loves to capture all of the creatures!

They’re so mad at my picture taking 😂

Better overlook from the highway! This part of WI is very hilly and pretty

Video - Our little fish getting so brave

Abundant sunshine!

Wisconsin river fishing

Didn’t catch anything

Except the pretty sunset!

Welcome to daddy’s homeschool!

Using a combination of online curriculum

Online reading groups

And other unit studies for handwriting, learning to read, and geography

Video - live music at the Sh*tty Barn

There’s a renovated old barn in the middle of Spring Green that hosts live music on Wednesday nights during the summer

One of my favorite things about this life is cooking outside while kids play and Jason builds a fire

FSU beanbags!!

Thanks to Mom and Dad for the Mimosas to celebrate our first week away! Love our new glasses too!

My company, Flexion, is headquartered in Madison, about an hour away from where we were staying. I spent Wednesday and Thursday in our offices. Reminded me that I love working remote. 😁

Me and my mini me!

You never know what your kids will get exposed to at a college football tailgate!

Grace scoring at beer pong!

Denise and Jackson trying to come back!

Mike and Denise showing us a good time at the UW tailgate.

On Tuesday, the kids and Jason headed to the Frank Lloyd Wright Taliesin Preservation. They all loved it! Jackson said it was amazing and Grace said it was phenomenal! Jason took lots of pics then did a factory reset on his iPhone that night without backing up the pics 🤦🏼‍♀️ so all we have are the tickets as proof they went!

On Sunday we visited Platteville to tour a mine and museum.

Hard hats required!

Hard to believe men worked down here using candles as their only light source.

The museum was a collection of random things - Jason’s favorite artifact were the boxing squirrels. 😝

Video - This was very cool - first working player piano I’ve seen!

Video - Jackson got it working quite well!
